Sizing of Components

The Sizing of the Components of a process plant considers the possible operating states and the resulting process conditions. Among the fundamental values obtained by the sizing are the design pressure and the design temperature. Further values are determined based on the component and its specific purpose.

A component should neither be sized too small nor too big regarding the range of the process conditions which it can handle. Both cases, in their own way, can have a negative impact on the operation of the plant and its capacity.

The values obtained by the sizing go into the creation of the technical specifications for the procurement of the components.

SIZING OF COMPONENTS

We carry out a comprehensive analysis of the operating states for all components of the plant to determine the process conditions relevant for the sizing and to ensure that the components will be fully functional during operation.
