Technical Specifications

Technical specifications are created for the procurement of plant components from external suppliers. A technical specification describes in detail the process conditions, under which a piece of equipment will operated, and based on that the requirements that have to be fulfilled by the suppliers. All the relevant process conditions and requirements must be listed. At the same time a technical specification should not be overly extensive in order to make it easier for the suppliers to correctly and completely register all the data. It should be concise and efforts should be made that it needs as little adjustment as possible during the procurement process.
