Feasibility Study

A feasibility study investigates, whether a planned production process is physically possible, technically feasible, and economically viable. Whether it is physically possible is analyzed by means of suitable process simulations like among other things a energy and mass balance. To verify the technical feasibility the expected operating conditions and requirements are determined for the planned equipment and it is clarified, whether components that fulfill the requirements and can withsthand the operating condititons are practically available. To judge the economic viability the costs for construction and operation are estimated.
